ご参考まで、大阪市では姉妹都市を締結している海外6都市との交流を推進するため、平成25年度大阪市姉妹都市交流推進事業補助の募集を行なっています（締切は3月12日）。

これは、大阪市との姉妹都市交流について、広く市民と共有し、参加継続が見込まれる事業で、姉妹都市・外国政府機関・総領事館等の公的機関との連携など公共性・公益性が見込まれる事業を、選考会を経て決定されるものです（1事業あたり、2分の1補助で最高100万円まで）。

なお、米国にある大阪市の姉妹都市は、サンフランシスコ市とシカゴ市になります。

Osaka City’s Grant for Projects Promototing Its Sister City Affiliations

 

The Osaka City Government is now inviting applicants for the grant to be given to projects that would contribute to promoting Osaka City’s sister city affiliations with 6 cities. (Application will be closed on March 12).

Applications will be evaluated and selected by a committee based on: if it would involve people of Osaka in sharing its ideas and their prolonged participation, if it would be public activities, collaborating with affiliated cities’ governments, consulates and other related institutions and so on. (The maximum amount of the grant is up to 1 million yen per project, which should not exceed more than half of the total amount.)
